Laura commented and tweeted her way to a $25 Amazon gift card. Congrats to Laura on winning! Thanks to everyone who participated in this challenge. We appreciate the buzz created about our blog and the new subscribers due to this challenge.
We hope everyone who took this challenge had success, whether small or large. Those of you who made it a whole month without eating out or ordering in kudos to you! You rock! Those of you who made it a whole week or simply cut back on the eating out and ordering in great job!
Evaluate Your Results
Take a look at your spending is there a noticable difference due to participating in this challenge? Maybe you have more money in your bank account and would like it to stay that way. If you made it through the challenge and liked your results why not keep your success going?
Keep up the good work
Limit your eating out and ordering in. Allow your self once a week to pay for someone else to cook your food. You may have noticed that you feel healthier and maybe have even lost weight due to participating in this challenge. Reducing the amount of prepared foods that you consume and eating more home cooked meals can have a positive effect on your health and well being.
Don’t just go back to your old ways. I have heard it said that it takes 30 days to establish a habit, so you may be totally accustomed to not eating out. If this was a huge struggle and you were counting down the days until the challenge was over don’t immediately reverse. Though it may have been hard the positive should outweigh the negative, so just modify things a bit. Your bank account and your waist line will thank you.
We Want to Hear From You
Now that it’s all said and done let us know how it went for you. Were there any set backs or was it smooth sailing the whole month long. We didn’t have a perfect month due to some of our planned activities, but we tried to keep the eating out to a minimum. Summer definitely makes it more difficult for us, but I’m sure once school starts we will have no problem going a whole month without eating out.
